* Downfall Of The Economy *
Every day, we are being told more and more bad news about
the world around us. Crime is up, unemployment is up, and people are
generally becoming more numb to everything around them. Welcome to the
downfall of the economy.
When I lived in Michigan, all I ever heard about was how
hard it was to get a job. Turning to the news, I hear about yet another bank
that got robbed. I also read about countless break-ins and robberies
happening on a consistently growing basis. Scary as it seemed, I feel it's
not going to get much better for some time; I think it will probably get
worse before it gets better. As a whole, the economy is cyclical; it hits a
low point, then hits a high point, then drops back down. You have to deal
with Bear then Bull markets, and even that has a hearty stake in speculation
of prosperity. With poor speculation, the markets are spiraling down, which
is making consumers and investors more anxious and cautious with their
money. This in turn leads to companies having to lay people off, which means
finance companies and the housing market suffer. This leads to more people
becoming depressed and less desirable, which fuels further negative
speculation. As you can see, everything is tied together, and everything is
going downhill because the thing above it is going into negative territory.
These days, the downfall of the economy has gone from
speculation to reality. It's here people, and while it will not be easy to
just 'shrug it off', we are going to have brighter days. I've hit extreme
lows (as well as some of my best friends), and we've managed to come back.
If you are one of the millions of people hit hard, I wish you well and hope
that things do turn around for you. I can only offer one piece of advice (as
trivial as it seems)... you need to adapt as best as you can to this ever
changing world. Obviously, things aren't what they used to be; sometimes you
need to destroy the old in order to rebuild and make things better. This
economy needs to be rebuilt, and only time will help do that.
This rant written by Joe Rosendorf Jr. This is merely
an opinion based on personal experiences, and is intended to inform based on
those experiences.
