* Investment Autosurf Scams *
If you've looked for ways to make money online, I'm sure you
encountered investment autosurfs. I've seen them around for at least 8
years, if not longer, and after I got caught up with one, I won't ever go
back and join one again.
Those of you who aren't familiar with an investment autosurf,
the concept of an investment autosurf is simple upfront... you invest some
of your money, you 'surf' a predetermined amount of websites every day for a
predetermined amount of days, and you receive your initial investment plus
interest. A typical example of one is where you autosurf 12 sites, and after
12 days you earn 120% of your investment... if you were to invest say $100,
then autosurf the required 12 sites for 12 days, then on the 12th day, you
would get back $120. Now, while this seems like an easy way to make quick
cash, the only one that's actually going to make easy and quick cash is the
person or people that are running the investment autosurf. Every investment
autosurf proclaims the same thing... the person or people all have 'their
own investments elsewhere' and they will 'use their personal funds to insure
that nobody loses their money'. They also let you know that to help sustain
the investment autosurf, you should refer as many people as possible. What
they may not publicize is that many of these investment autosurfs are
operated by people that live 'offshore', and they tend to ask for electronic
wire transfers or lesser known online payment processors to send and receive
the money. PayPal and most of the 'major' online payment processors cannot be used, mainly because
they recognize that an investment autosurf is nothing more than a basic Ponzi scheme. Investment
autosurfs, contrary to what they say they do, actually rely on incoming
investments to pay off outgoing payouts... eventually, they aren't going to
be able to afford to payout once they have to pay out more than what's
coming in. It's usually right about that time that the site just 'disappears'
right along with your money... oftentimes, millions of dollars are gone and
there is nothing you can do about it. Another thing that should concern you
is that if government agencies intervene and freeze assets and shut down the
site, YOU can get in trouble, as offshore investing is a grey area
and is often compared to gambling online while in the United States... it's
illegal, and ignorance of the law is not an excuse.
Investment autosurfs are starting to pop back up more and
more, and the temptation to join in to make some quick easy money can be
overwhelming. In my opinion, every investment autosurf I've ever seen has
been shut down (either by the owner or by the government) within a few
months. I've seen people lose thousands of dollars, all because the idea of
quick easy money was a temptation they couldn't resist. Also realize that
investment autosurfs will generally pay out in the beginning, but that is to
benefit them... that way they have 'proof' that they have paid before. If
you want to find out more information about these types of scams, you can
always search on Google for 'investment autosurf scam'.
