I talked in a previous rave about how I make a six figure income online through various sources. One of my residual sources of income is with Google Adsense, and it's a relatively simple yet effective way to earn some easy money with relatively little investment of time.

 

 

Now unless you are brand new to the internet, you've more than likely stumbled across a website that uses Google Adsense on their site to earn money. It's pretty easy to use, as you configure the way you want ads displayed (including size, border, link color, etc), save it, and you are given a few lines of code to add to your website. Google decides which specific ads to serve on your website (based primarily on content), and you earn money either based on impressions and/or based on click-throughs. However, it seems like a lot of people complain that they aren't making ANY money using Google Adsense on their sites. I have gone and checked out some of these people's websites, and I can see similar patterns on many of them. I've noticed things like horrible placement of ads (at the bottom left side of a very long page), colors that make the ads scream out "look at me, I'm an ad", and even seen where they point out where the ads are on their site and ask people to click them (which is against the Google Adsense Terms Of Service). It's really not as difficult as people make it out to be.... allow me to give you just a couple hints. You can try to match the colors to your websites colors to help 'blend' the ads in. You can try different size combinations in different areas of your website than the traditional 'banner' size. Don't directly display a page that has Google Adsense on it at traffic-exchanges, as this is not only against Terms Of Service, but it drives up your impressions while your click-throughs stay put (giving you a very low CTR rate and lowering your income potential DRASTICALLY).

 

 

I could sit and write a 300+ page book on how to make money (or even make MORE money) using Google Adsense, but I'll leave that to Joel Comm. In case you didn't know, Joel Comm is basically considered THE Adsense Guru, and using his tips and tricks, my earnings have substantially gone up.
