* New Years Eve *

Here we are, on the eve of 2009, and it's traditionally the time to look back on the previous year and remember the good and bad times, recall the things we had and the things we lost, and it's also when we make resolutions on what we want to have different in the new year.

During 2008, I remember a lot of good and bad times.. things like quitting my job forever, moving from Michigan and on to better things, and enjoying my life more than I had in previous years. I remember having to put my dogs down when they got too sick and wouldn't live much longer, I had a couple people that I thought were friends actually turn out to be 'associates' that were just around to use me, and I had an ex-girlfriend that I was still very close with that ended up getting deployed to Iraq and she became a victim of an I.E.D. I dealt with being bipolar a lot better than previously, I made a lot of new friends, and even got more in touch with old friends that felt they were long forgotten. I went from nearly losing everything I had to having everything I wanted, and jumped from a five figure income to a six figure income.

Overall, I would primarily consider the last year a positive one, and while there were some negative aspects, the negatives allowed me to reflect more on my life and circumstances. I will limit my resolutions to the typical... I will work towards making even more money this coming year, I will travel a lot more, and I will move into my new house. I plan on making 2009 a better year than 2008 was, as should you... now get cracking!
