* Secret Millionaire *
I don't watch much television anymore, as I have found that
most shows just bore or irritate me. I haven't had interest in most reality
shows, or at least not until Fox unveiled their latest show called Secret
Millionaire.
The premise of the show is simple... a multimillionaire has
to help someone out by giving them some of their own money. There are some
stipulations though... they have to give at least $100,000 of their own
money, they have to live in what people generally consider 'economically
challenged' areas, the millionaire must live there for 7 days and 'feel out'
who deserves the money, and they cannot tell anyone that they are actually
millionaires. In order to explain the camera crew, they tell the people that
the crew is there to film a documentary about living in 'economically
challenged' areas. After the millionaires have lived there for the week,
they have to have decided which person or people get their money. They then
have to go back to see those people, explain who they really are, and they
give them the money.
I normally don't care much for reality shows, but Secret
Millionaire has caught my attention. I find it interesting to watch the
millionaires try to fit in and adjust to a life that almost seems miles away
from what they are used to. The joy experienced is unlike one I've felt
before... mainly because the rich are helping complete strangers, and this
money literally is life altering for many of these people. Secret
Millionaire can be seen on Fox television stations... check for local times
and air dates in your TV Guide or at http://www.fox.com .
