I listen to a large variety of music, everything from rock to rap and everything in-between. One particular music 'group' I've really been into has been Tenacious D.

 

 

Tenacious D is comprised of 2 people, Jack Black and Kyle Gas, both playing guitar and singing. Their music can be considered rock meets folk with an underlying classical tone. Tenacious D brings a pretty laid back and comical presence to their shows, often improvising without missing a beat. Jack Black and Kyle Gas have also been seen in various movies, and often play for charitable events. In 2005, Tenacious D finished production and released 'Tenacious D In The Pick Of Destiny', a movie that was purportedly about how Jack Black and Kyle Gas met and formed their band (dubbed Tenacious D due to each having a birthmark).

 

 

Now, in my opinion, if you enjoy rock, folk, and classical music, then Tenacious D may strike a proverbial chord with you. My only warning is that they do have some profanity in some of their songs (which may offend some of you)... I personally don't mind though. Tenacious D comes off as unrelenting, funny, and extremely entertaining, and they have a great onstage presence. I recommend those who haven't heard any of their songs to have a listen to either 'Wonderboy' or 'Tribute', both regarded as a couple of their more memorable and catchy songs.
