* Working From Home *
Every day, I do what millions of people wish they could
do... I work from the comfort of my home. I never have to deal with getting
stuck in a traffic jam and being late for work, I don't have to worry if my
boss is going to lay me off, and I don't have to worry about irritating my
boss.
Now, before you go thinking it's all easy street in
Slackerville, you need to realize that working at home has 2 sides of the
proverbial coin. You may be working from home doing things like data entry,
software coder, or any number of specialized work, to which you will still
have a boss (besides your customers, of course). I am a small business
owner, technically I'm the sole proprietor of my own company. I only work
for my customers, and I do occasionally hire employees to help out. It's a
great feeling to know that you are at the top of the period... you are
earning for you and not to fill a "suit's" pockets.
I do work from home, and though it's not what many people
consider 'the norm', it is becoming a bigger trend as companies lay off more
and more people. If you don't run your own business, it's not too late; you
can always start with freelancing in your free-time. If you want to work
from home, just realize that you may have to work harder before things get
easier. When you run your own business, you can have PLENTY of free-time
once you get things figured out, and that's a feeling I wouldn't trade for
the world.
This rave written by Joe Rosendorf Jr. This is merely
an opinion based on personal experiences, and is intended to inform based on
those experiences.
